The six paramitas or virtues of the bodhisattvas:

- Dana
- You will become a more giving person. You will share more of your time with others.
- Sila
- You will become a better person. The simplicity of the proverbs and the precepts will become more clear to you.
- Ksanti
- You will help others more whenever you are called. You will complain less. You will live each day fuller because you always know it may be your last.
- Virya
- Just as when you raise yourself from your mat in the morning, you will become stronger from helping others.
- Dhyana
- You will practice zen with more and more ferver.
- Prajna
- You will become wise from all these things.
